Hi there, Wild Childs!

This past weekend brought a blast of cool air making it finally feel like Fall in Sweet Home Alabama. I just bought into the Rent the Runway RTR Update plan, and I could not wait to style all of my new October pieces!
RTR Update is a subscription-type service that Rent the Runway offers that allows you to pick 4 pieces of clothing to wear per month. Once the month is over, send them back and they will send you the next 4 pieces you selected for the next month! It’s as simple as that.
As a broke grad student, (and mostly unemployed last year), I had been very hesitant to invest the $89/month for four pieces I get to keep for a month – but (now that I have a steady job) I don’t mind the investment if it keeps me from buying clothes that I will only wear for one year!
Plus, the first month is only $69!
I think my favorite thing about the program is that it lets me play with and explore my personal style – without having to make any big investments.
Here is one of my favorite pieces from my October selection.
Details are in the pictures!
I would give this dress a 4/5 stars:
It is ohh sooo cute and I’ve gotten tons of complements wearing it! It really is great for any closet for those cooler months! However, the material is pretty thick and scratchy. If you have a problem with scratchy clothes, you would either want to wear some type of slip underneath or just not at all. When I first put it on, I was surprised at how rough it was on the inside, but got used to it throughout the day. Also, I am 5 foot 9 inches and even when I just slightly bend over the whole world can see by undies.
Despite those issues, I am kind of thinking about purchasing this dress to always have in my closet! I really is so cute, versatile, and something I can see myself wearing for years to come!
